Must-Haves:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with an Electrical Contractor
• Healthcare construction project experience
• Strong electrical construction background
• Proven people management, process management, and performance management skills
• Experience with budgeting, labor tracking, scheduling, and forecasting
• Ability to review construction drawings for procurement and change order pricing
• Knowledge of financial software, accounting practices, project billings, and change management
• Strong written, verbal, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
• Ability to manage project profitability, schedules, manpower, and project execution

Day-to-Day:

• Manage electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Create project budgets, schedules, cost tracking, and Schedule of Values
• Manage procurement of major electrical equipment, materials, and subcontractors
• Coordinate and oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
• Lead project scheduling, manpower planning, and labor forecasting
• Collaborate with Superintendents, Operations Management, and VDC/BIM teams
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure constructability and compliance
• Oversee prefabrication planning and execution
• Manage material logistics, equipment procurement, and jobsite operations
• Monitor subcontractor performance, schedules, manpower, and billing
• Develop and maintain project safety and QA/QC plans
• Conduct progress meetings and maintain strong client relationships
• Track project financial performance, WIP reporting, and cost-to-complete projections
• Coordinate project closeout activities and punch list completion
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, on schedule, and to quality standards

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Construction Project Manager for a top electrical construction client in the Charlotte market. This individual will lead large-scale electrical construction projects, with a strong focus on healthcare facilities and complex commercial environments. The Project Manager will oversee all phases of project execution, including budgeting, procurement, BIM/VDC coordination, scheduling, safety, quality control, subcontractor management, change order administration, and client relationship development. This role requires a hands-on leader who can successfully manage project profitability while collaborating closely with field operations, superintendents, vendors, and ownership teams to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate is an experienced electrical construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record managing complex projects from pre-construction through final completion.
